I did a little research for you on German forums. The average people are getting with m550d is just a about what you have 9.5 - 11.5L / 100km. Few persons claim 8.5L but I really doubt this, unless they drive only like turtles (Eco Pro mode). So Id say to go well below 10L requires more driving in Eco Pro mode.
